Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo

2018 Legal Aid Technology Implementation Project

“Legal Aid is looking to transform how it uses data to better represent clients. The organization has outdated case management systems that are underutilized due to the limited number of user licenses. In addition, Legal Aid has five case management systems for each department, instead of one centralized case management system that allows staff to easily access information between departments.

Legal Aid requests $86,950 over two years for the technology implementation. Funds will be used to purchase wireless access, case management system, and document management system. Legal Aid will contract with Just-Tech (who has a strong background in serving legal aid organizations) to implement the case management system. Once the case management system is customized; staff will receive training. Just Tech will also lead the data migration process. Legal Aid will work with another consultant, I-Evolve to install the wireless network.”
