LEAP for Education, Inc.

The Narrative Therapy Project

“This grant will allow LEAP to partner with the director of the Narrative Therapy Initiative (NTI) in Salem, Dr. Stephen Gaddis, to design a format and curriculum for implementing narrative therapy with LEAP students in two group settings annually. The most challenging students will be selected to participate in the first two cohorts with 6-8 students in each group. The groups will meet weekly for two hours each week in a group setting to work to build self-awareness, and agency, while also being a witness and support for the other members of the group. Two staff members will shadow Dr. Gaddis in the first year of program implementation and then run the program independent of him for years two and three.”
