Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) with Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth

Recognizing that transgender and gender non-conforming youth are at much greater risk for homelessness, suicidality, bullying, drug use, and school expulsion compared to their straight, cisgender peers, Center for Trauma and Embodiment at Justice Resource Institute and Children’s Friend and Family Services plan to work together to provide a trauma-informed yoga model to support the mental health challenges of transgender youth in Essex County, Massachusetts.
