“Eye to Eye requests $45,000 for the establishment of four new mentoring chapters for students with learning disabilities. Eye to Eye has identified Essex County as a strategic area for growth.

Eye to Eye seeks to develop partnerships with school districts to deepen the awareness of the needs of students with learning disabilities. In September, Eye to Eye launched a chapter in the Andover Public Schools. The organization has seen an uptick in local efforts to improve instruction for students with learning disabilities. Eye to Eye wants to build off this momentum along with expanding partnerships with other school districts in Essex County.

Eye to Eye is a mentoring program for students with learning and attention issues.The organization trains high school and college students with learning disabilities to mentor similarly identified middle school students. This grant request is specifically related to the start-up costs of the organization’s expansion into Essex County.”
