“Doc Wayne Youth Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization that fuses sport and therapy to heal and strengthen at-risk youth. Funds will support the implementation of Chalk Talk. Chalk Talk is evidence-based curriculum that seeks to improve students social-emotional learning skills as well as their behavioral and emotional health. Chalk Talk is a sports-based curriculum that integrates sports such as soccer, basketball, and football with group therapy.

This pilot will target 50 students in the first year. Doc Wayne will hire a community coach to serve as the external face of the program in Buffalo, NY. The coach will collaborate with the clinician to carryout Chalk Talk.”
