Lake Shore Behavioral Health - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Intensive Training (LSBH-DBTIT)

“Through the Lake Shore Behavioral Health Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Intensive Training (DBTIT) project, two groups of five clinicians will be trained in DBT over a two year period in order to reduce self-injurious behavior and suicide attempts among clients age 26 and younger.

Clinicians will apply to participate, committing to two separate five day trainings off site, joining a DBT consultation team that will meet weekly between trainings, and engaging in 52 weeks of consultation meetings with Behavioral Tech. These small groups will then become champions and mentors for the model internally at Lake Shore, with each individual responsible for training two additional clinicians, and all responsible for leading agency wide in-services. By the end of year three, Lake Shore anticipates having 30 clinicians trained across their outpatient clinics, reaching an estimated 1,200 consumers.”
