Floortime Training

“Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center requests $123,700 over three years to provide agency-wide implementation of Floortime within its classrooms. During the course of the grant, 100 educational staff will complete the DIRFloortime training at various intensity levels. This framework helps clinicians, parents, and educators conduct assessments and develop educational and/or intervention programs tailored to the unique challenges and strengths of each child. The core of Floortime centers on the adult following the lead of the child and interacting with them at their level.

The goal of this project is build a culture that places Floortime as the basis for supporting students with autism spectrum disorders. Tower funds will support the training, mentors, and equipment.”
